Adjust your audio file
Up to 5 minutes · 50 MB
MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG or FLAC. WebM is not supported. Codec support depends on your browser. Output is WAV.
This can distort the sound. By default, clipping stops WAV preparation and shows a safe setting.
100% keeps the original amplitude, 200% doubles it, and 50% halves it. 0% creates silence.

How to increase the volume of an audio file
- Choose audio up to 5 minutes and 50 MB. MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG and FLAC with one audio track are supported when your browser can decode their codec.
- Set a volume from 0 to 1000%. 100% keeps the original amplitude, 200% doubles it, and 50% halves it. These percentages scale the signal; perceived loudness depends on the recording and playback device.
- Click Prepare WAV. Compare the original and result with the listening buttons, then download WAV. Your source file is unchanged.
Avoid distorted peaks
Hard peak limiting is off by default. If the chosen gain would push samples outside the digital range, no file is created. A message shows a safe setting. Use its button to apply that setting, then prepare WAV again.
You can explicitly enable Allow hard peak limiting. Samples outside the range are then clipped to the PCM boundary, which can distort the sound. A warning appears in the result, and its filename includes limited if clipping actually occurred. Compare the recordings at a normal playback volume.
What your download contains
Output is uncompressed 16-bit PCM WAV at 44.1 kHz. Mono or stereo and channel order are preserved. Other source rates are resampled to 44.1 kHz. Pauses and the presentation timeline are retained; changing volume does not change speed or pitch. MP3 uses the same verified encoder-delay handling as the MP3 to WAV converter.
WebM is not supported. WAV can be larger than an MP3 or M4A input. The original peak is measured from decoded samples; the result peak comes from the actual PCM WAV. Listen to result plays that prepared WAV. MP3 export is not available here.
If background noise gets louder too
Gain affects the whole signal, including background noise. Amplifying digital silence cannot create missing sound; a separate message explains when the source is silent. Use the audio trimmer to select a clip or add fades. For a video file, extract its audio first.
Settings and output stay together
Changing the file, volume or peak-limiting option cancels the old operation and removes its download link. Prepare WAV again for new settings. Decoded source audio is reused only for the same selected file; a new selection or Clear discards it. Hiding the tab stops playback and unfinished processing. A completed WAV stays available until settings change, you clear it or leave the page.
Your audio stays on your device
Audio, its filename and the result are not sent to Cuevy. No account, speech model, microphone or camera is needed. The page loads normal site resources. Analytics count opens, completed WAV and download clicks without audio or filenames; session replay is disabled. A computer with a current browser is recommended for longer recordings.
Cuevy's paid Russian desktop call assistant is a separate product. Audio reader library license: Mediabunny. The notice includes its source-code link.
