How to record your voice online

1. Connect a microphone or use your device's built-in mic. Click Start recording and allow microphone access in your browser's prompt.
2. Speak and watch the level meter to check that sound is being received. Keep this tab open and active.
3. Click Stop recording. Listen to the resulting audio in the player, then download WAV.

Use this recorder for a short voice memo, a voiceover draft or a practice answer. Each recording is limited to 5 minutes and 50 MB. Reaching a limit saves the received portion with a warning. The WAV duration is based on the audio actually received.

Your recording stays on your device

Audio is processed in the browser and held in this tab's memory. Your recording, its name and its content are not uploaded to Cuevy. Recording and WAV export do not require a speech model or an installed app. Usage analytics record page opens, completed recordings and download clicks without audio or file names. Session replay is disabled.

The microphone turns on only after you click Start recording and grant browser permission. Stopping, cancelling a request or leaving the page stops capture. If a cancelled permission prompt remains open, allowing it later does not start another recording. Save your WAV before closing this tab or switching language; an unsaved recording is not transferred to another page.

Questions before recording

Is this voice recorder free?

Yes. Recording, playback and WAV download are free, with no account or purchase of minutes. The limit for one recording is 5 minutes and 50 MB. Cuevy's paid Russian-language desktop call assistant is a separate product.

Why does microphone access fail?

Check the permission for cuevy.ru in your browser and microphone access for the browser in your device settings. If the microphone is missing or busy, reconnect it or close the app using it and try again. Recording requires HTTPS and a browser with AudioWorklet support.

Can I record on a phone?

You can use a compatible mobile browser with microphone access. Keep the screen unlocked and the tab active. If your device interrupts capture, the received portion is saved with a warning. Listen to it before using it.

Can I pause or trim a recording?

This recorder offers Stop recording and Record again; there is no pause button. To trim a take, download WAV and select it in the audio trimmer (Russian). It opens in a new tab, leaving your original recording available here.

Can I download MP3 or record system audio?

This tool downloads WAV and captures what your microphone hears. It does not directly capture a browser tab or system audio, and it does not export MP3.

Can I turn my recording into English text?

Download WAV, open the free English transcriber and select your file. The other tab runs Whisper base.en on your device; its first recognition downloads about 110 MB of model files. Review the text and estimated segment times, then download TXT, SRT or VTT. The recording stays available in this tab.

Only record audio you have the right to use. The English and Russian versions of this recorder save audio in the same WAV format; the page language does not change the recording.
